Simple as ABC
What you should know before you start your online business
The 5 Most Common Mistakes To Avoid

I would like to start by letting you all know a little bit about how I got here and why I’m writing this report.
Lets go back 5 years ,Im a successful business owner, love working , a proud grandpa and life is good, and then one cold snowy night out of nowhere I was the victim of a violet crime.
Shot in the Head and Left for Dead!
Yes it is a miracle that I’m hear but that’s another story .Back then I didn’t even have a computer or a email address it was only after I saw an add about eBay and attended a work shop that I got interested in the idea of being able to work from home .I got a PC and started my long journey to find a way to work from home .didn’t have much choice ,couldn’t work any more ,disabled from my ordeal. The computer became my best friend and great therapy for my mind .
This report is an effort to help those of you who are looking for a way to work from home for what ever reason. It is just basic good information in layman’s language ,it holds true for online as well as life in general. It is based on a acronym I came up with that made good sense to me and to this day I keep it posted on my PC as a constant reminder of what it takes to be successful.
Just the Simple Facts

When you decide you want to start a online business it is very exciting. There is so much to learn. . You may find so much to focus on and then you end up doing nothing, and you wind up with information overload.

Nearly everyone who begins in internet marketing has been in this position. It usually goes like this: You are new to internet marketing and you learn of something that really gets your motor running. However, that leads to learning about something else but slightly different. And then that second thing leads you to something else. Soon you are so far off from what you were originally looking at you don't know quite where you are anymore, lost any ready to give up, but don’t despair help is on the way.
F.A.C.T.S

                                           F-FOCUS
A-ACTION
C-COMMITMENT
T-TIME
S-SUCCESS

The key is to focus. .
Here are some tips on keeping your focus .
1. Pick a method and stick with it. . Then stick with it long enough to have actually taken ACTION. Reading and learning are great but you won't make a dime until you take some action.
Don't worry - even though you found a "specialty" does not mean you can never try new things. Usually it is more beneficial to you to focus on a specialty and master it. Then you may find that those skills will help you in developing new skills. . Once you have learned the first skill the second method will be easier to learn. The exception to sticking with one thing is if you find you hate it or do not have any motivation to keep at it. Then find something else and make that your specialty. The good news with internet marketing - you don't have to go through years of expensive schooling only to learn that in the real world you hate the profession. You can cut your losses early and move on .

2. If while first using and learning the one method you've chosen ( your specialty) you find something else that excites you, take notes and bookmark like crazy. Remember how I said the Internet isn't going anywhere? It really isn't. The information you need will still be there when you need it.

3. After you have gotten more comfortable with your specialty, now start researching or easing into the other methods .You can really build and expand your ability by combining different methods and trying different things. And just like some doctors specialize in a couple different areas - so can you.
However, when you are new to the world of marketing online it is easy to get caught up in chasing one new thing after another. And that will not get you to your goals. Even worse - if you are always investigating the next new thing then you are not actually focusing and taking action ..

If you follow these steps and repeat as necessary you will find that you are getting to your goals online more quickly than if you tried to do too much at once.

Sometimes you have to take a few steps back before you can start to move forward. By asking yourself a few key questions you can find out if your focus is really where it should be and if your time is being used effectively.

By getting clearly focused on one goal at a time we can be more effective in actually reaching our goals. Get excited and take the action you need to be successful. Once you reach that goal, you will be ready to move onto the next one. You will soon find that with laser beam focus on one goal at a time you are able to actually reach your goals faster and with a greater rate of success.

ACTION
To be successful in life, you must be at peace with action. You can't be a winner if you never get started. The foundation for success is action. Your present condition is determined by your past actions (or inaction) but the future is determined by actions you take now. Action defines what you sow and what you will reap. Goals amount to nothing if actions are not taken.

Thinking will generate goals but doing adds 'flesh to the skeleton'. Inaction will make fantastic goals fizzle into nothingness.
Every successful person out there will tell you that success was achieved through, desires acted upon, information and knowledge acted upon, dreams, vision, ideas and plans acted upon, opportunities, challenges and beliefs acted upon amongst other actions taken. A future of success will come by if your present condition is spiced up with the right actions. To accomplish anything in life, you must make it happen by doing what's necessary. You become eventually what you do. Don't wait for all the conditions to be right. NOW is the perfect time. And even though you don't get it right the first time, persist, and success will smile at you in time. It is a result of years of efforts, failures and restarts, obstacles cleared and problems navigated away from. All these are fueled by passion and commitment kindled by Action.

COMMITMENT and TIME

Well, stop. You start down the path to failure the moment you start thinking about giving up.
The fact is, most people never do manage to earn a serious income online. And the reason is quite simple: they give up. They stop trying. They decide that it all seems too difficult, and they go to do something else.
So, how do you avoid getting to the stage where you just want to quit? Or if you feel like that now, how do you get started again, and this time keep yourself at it?
The first thing to realize is that this is not a game. This is work, a business. You therefore need to treat it like a job. You need to keep yourself working, as you no longer have a boss to do it for you. You cannot believe all those claims about making money by sitting on the couch. Maybe some people manage that: but I have never met any! If you want your home business to be a success, you will have to work and put in time and effort.
One of the best ways I found to stay committed is to figure out my WHYs. why am I doing this ,for me ,my kid, financial freedom, to fire my boss,? It has to be so strong that it will keep you going when all else is telling you to stop, give up, quit, your WHYs will help you stay FOCUSED and COMMITTED and in TIME you will fine SUCCESS
Clear a workspace. If you have more than one computer, designate one as your ‘work computer'. This will help you stay organized. It will also mean that every time you sit down at your workspace, your mind will start to recognize that now is the time to start thinking about your business.
If you suffer from procrastination, make sure you have everything before you start. If you are constantly getting up and down from your computer, you will never get anything done.
It can also provide a small morale boost.
Second, set yourself a timetable. Tell yourself that at a certain hour you will sit down and work. Get yourself into a routine. This means that if the temptation to give up does arrive, you might find it easier to work through as you know that at a certain time you have to sit down and do some work.
. A little voice in your head tells you that you can leave your business to look after itself for one day. But if you have a set time at which you tell yourself you have to sit down and work, it's easier to ignore that little voice and record the program instead.
Third, make sure your friends and family respect what you are doing. Many people will assume that if you are sitting at your computer, you are free to do chores, run errands, or just to go out and have fun! The last one can be difficult to resist.
Tell them what you are trying to do. Ask for their patience. And make sure they understand that when you are at your computer, you do not want distractions. It will also be easier to make excuses to friends as to why you are not able to go out with them if they know why.
They can also be a useful tool to help stop you quitting. Giving up and admitting failure is easier to do if the only person who knows about it is you. The idea of having to explain it to your friends and family could be a powerful incentive to keep working!
In the end, it comes down to treating your home business like you would a real job. If you are seriously thinking about quitting your day job, you first need to be earning a reliable and steady income. You can only get that by putting in the work.
Do not be discouraged! Yes, many people fail. But the main reason they do so is because they do not take it seriously and end up quitting.
If you keep going, eventually you will find the success and living your dreams.

The 5 Most Common Mistakes To Avoid

If you don't make any of these mistakes, you'll be doing better than 95% of beginning marketers.
1. Sit back and hope you'll be lucky.
You might be. You might also win the lottery. But I wouldn't put much faith in either happening. I am sure that there are people out there who have done nothing but thrown up a website and earned money from it. But there are far more people who have done nothing but thrown up a website and ended up only wasting their own money.

2. Promote products you don't believe in.
Insincerity shines through. People can tell if you're lying. The words sound rehearsed and often like a repeat of the sales pitch. You will probably also end up sick of it, and if you have any conscience at all, you should feel guilty about the fact that you are sending people to a poor quality product.
. Always read a product carefully before you start trying to sell it. But not knowing anything about a product will make you sound phony, unable to answer questions about it, and will mean you are reliant on the author's own sales pitch for information.
3. Expect people to visit the collection of links you claim is a website.
People don't visit websites with no content. Would you? They're even less likely to come for a repeat visit, and you'll have about as much chance of reputable sites linking to you as of winning the lottery. . Good content leads to more visitors and more sales.
4.Treat your visitors and subscribers as cash machines. Treat your visitors and subscribers as good friends.
5. Give up.
Most marketers give up. They make mistakes, they lose money, they get discouraged, and they stop trying. The success stories are the ones who kept going, who kept believing that it was possible to make a living online marketing. You need to believe the same, and be prepared to work hard for it.
If you avoid these mistakes, your chances of becoming a successful marketer increase dramatically. Committing any of them is likely to cost you time and money; but even if you have, they are easily fixed. Content can be added to a website, products can be researched more thoroughly, your sales pitch can be adjusted and you can always put in more work than you have been.
Is it difficult and often frustrating? Yes. But seeing your traffic increase, and then watching the sales start to come in is extremely exciting. That feeling alone makes it all worth it. And the money doesn't hurt either! The hardest part of marketing is always taking action. When you are up and running, word will spread about your site and traffic will grow by itself.
Just don't commit any of the above mistakes, and you will already be ahead of the pack.

Putting it all together

. Below are the top 5 user-friendly facts that you must focus on if you want to achieve great success in your life.
1. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
This is the fact that you must accept; success is not an easy task and success will not come to you without any hard work. In other words, there is no free lunch in this world. If you desire for something, you will have to pay for it. The same goes here, if you want to achieve great success in your life, you must be willing to sacrifice your time and put effort to make it come true. And the only way to do this is to focus yourself, get out from your comfort zone.
2. Be 100 Percent Committed
This is another old school kind of fact. You know that you have to be committed in achieving great success. If you are not committed, do you think that you will do whatever you want to achieve it? When you ask people do they want to achieve success in their life, they will give a definite yes. However, when you ask them whether they are 100 percent committed to achieve success in their life, they will stop for awhile and think for the answer. This shows that they are not putting 100 percent commitment into it, and the fact is this, they know that if they put in 100 percent commitment, they will achieve it.
However, most people will not put 100 percent commitment into it. And that is why most of them fail to achieve the success they desire in their life. So if you are reading this right now, make sure that you put in 100 percent into achieving what you want in your life. If you are not putting 100 percent commitment, chances are, you will fail and waste all the time and energy that you have put in. So since you have decided to achieve something, why don't you do it with all your best?
3. You Need to Have the Burning Desire
This is what most people lack , the burning desire for great success. Did you notice that successful people posses this key to success, that is they have the burning desire to succeed. A burning desire is not the same as a mere hope or wish. A burning desire is something that is a must for you. You cannot live without it. Therefore, you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
And this is the key that you will need in order to achieve the great success . Whenever you have the burning desire, you will act from a different frame of mind. This is because you have set your goals as something a must, and you will do everything to achieve them. Hence, you will cope with every obstacles that come to you and you will take massive action to make it come true. Thus, locate and develop your WHYs today, find out why you want to achieve great success in your life.
4. Every Successful People Set Their Goals
. I believe that you know about goal setting and why it is important to you.
With goals, you know where you should be heading and you know where your destination is. If you don't have a goal today, you will never stay focused in your life. And if you are not focused in your life, you will do everything that interests you, but you will never put in real action doing it. As a result, you will achieve nothing in the end. However, the story will be different if you set your goal and stay focused in it. You will put in all your energy in your goal, just like a laser beam that can cut through anything that comes into it. Remember to set your goals, take action and stay focused..
5. Nothing Will Happen Without Taking Any Action
Yes, if you are just sitting there reading this article, but did not actually take action steps to make your goals come true, nothing will ever happen. If knowledge and skills is the vehicle to your great success, then action will be the fuel to drive this vehicle. Don't you ever expect that success will fall from sky, it is not like one day you wake up and you are successful . It is not like one day you wake up and you have $1 million in your bank account.
All of these will not happen automatically. Yo
So start your engine today and start to make your dreams come true. The journey of a life time begins with a single step. Therefore, take the first step today, and a few more steps each and everyday. You will reach your goal, and great success will be yours in time.u need to actually take some action, only then things will happen. Even if there is a magic button that can bring you great success, you will still need to move your hand to the mouse and hover it over to click it. Everything in this world will not happen automatically. Therefore, make things happen instead of waiting for things to happen on you.
Everything happens, happen for a reason. So find the reason and make things happen. Start taking small steps that will bring you to your great success each and everyday. Success is a journey , and not a destiny. It is all about putting your thoughts into action. . Take great success as the ultimate challenge in your life.

Business Idea: Blogging for Profit, No Previous Experience Required

Blogs – it seems like just about everyone has one.

If you don’t know what a blog is, it comes from the phrase “web log”, which is an online diary or journal of sorts. People have all kinds of reasons for starting a blog. They may do it for fun, because they love writing or just to have an outlet to express their thoughts, vent frustrations and more.

But you can make a blog into a money-making business, even if you have no blogging or business experience.

How to Get Started

You can actually start your blog completely for free. There are services like Blogger.com and WordPress.com that make it super easy. But note, John Yeo, profitable blog and creator of the Blogger’s Paycheck recommends that those seeking profit should WordPress, but in a different way than is explained at WordPress.com and he goes through it in detail in the course.

How to Make Money with a Blog

Simply put, pick a theme or major topic for your blog and start writing. Even if you have no product of your own, you can still make money from your blog by selling and displaying advertising, earning commissions recommending products and other activities. This is also something John Yeo covers in detail.

What if You Don’t Like to Write

Many people think they can’t blog if they don’t enjoy writing or feel they aren’t talented writers, but that shouldn’t stop anyone. A blog is about sharing thoughts and you don’t have to be an award-winning writer to do that. In addition, the growing popularity of online video and audio open up more possibilities for sharing content. You can also hire a ghostwriter if you want a text blog and want to avoid writing.

The Keys to Profitable Blogging

To profit from blogging, there are a few key ingredients:

1.	Target a highly interested audience of readers who happen to be consumers. In other words, people who readily spend money to pursue their hobbies, interests and desires that you’ll be writing about.
2.	Create interesting content that people are readily looking for, that they’ll talk about to their friends and come back for over and over again.
3.	Sign up for the Blogger’s Paycheck course that will take you through setting up your blog, building traffic, making money and more.

Review Of Whitesmoke

This is probably going to be one of the shortest reviews on any product that you have ever read, but if you’re looking for writing software, get this. Let me tell you why.

Whitesmoke IS the number 1 grammar and writing software in the world. It’s kind of synonymous with Camtasia for being the top video production software for its price range. You can’t beat this thing.

Yahoo, CNN and NBC have essentially sung this software’s praises with CNN ranking this software as # 5 all around of all the business ideas in the whole world. Okay, enough said?

I realize that there is a lot of hype in this world and you have to take what you hear with a grain of salt, but Whitesmoke 2008 IS the real deal. And it’s not that expensive either.

How good is it really?

Try this on for features:

Advanced English Grammar Correction
Text Enrichment
Dictionary
Spell Checker
Artificial Intelligence Technology
Writing Engine
Works with any text-based application
Punctuation
Thesaurus for synonyms
All-in-one Proofreading Solution

They have everything in this but the kitchen sink. Now, if you don’t need all this, fine. There are cheaper solutions that might give you what you’re looking for. No sense paying for something that you’re not going to use. But if you’re a serious professional, then this is serious professional software.

And…it comes in different versions depending on the kind of writing that you’re going to do.
General Writing
Business Writing
Creative Writing
Executive Package

The executive package covers all the bases. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but there is nothing it doesn’t do.

At the very least, go to the site and see what this company has to offer.

For once, it’s nice to see that something does what it says it does.

Here is the site where you can get the info.Click Here

There are basically two types of bloggers in the world - reporters and experts - and some people perform both roles (usually the experts, it's hard for reporters to become experts, but it's easy for experts to report).

If you have ever taken an Internet marketing course or attended a seminar specifically for beginners, you have probably heard about the two different methodologies. Whenever the business model is based on content, and if you blog for money then the model is based on content, people are taught to either start as reporters, or if possible step up as experts.

I'll be frank; you want to be the expert.

Reporters leverage the content of the experts and in most cases people start off as reporters because they haven't established expertise. Experts enjoy the perks of preeminence, higher conversion rates because of perceived value, it's easier to get publicity, people are more likely to seek you out rather than you having to seek others out, joint ventures come easier, etc experts in most cases simply make more money and attract more attention.

Most Bloggers Are Reporters

The thing with expertise is that it requires something - experience. No person becomes an expert without doing things and learning. Bloggers usually start out without expertise and as a result begin their blogging journey by talking about everything going on in their niche (reporting) and by interviewing and talking about other experts (reporting again).

There's nothing wrong with reporting of course and for many people it's a necessity at first until you build up some expertise. Unfortunately the ratios are pretty skewed when it comes to reporters and experts - there are a lot more reporters than there are experts, hence reporters tend to struggle to gain attention and when they do, they often just enhance the reputation of the expert they are reporting on.

Don't Replicate Your Teacher

If you have ever spent some time browsing products in the learn Internet marketing niche you will notice a pattern. Many people first study Internet marketing from a guru (for lack of a better term). The guru teaches how he or she is able to make money online, and very often the view that the student gleams is that in order to make money online you have to teach others how to make money online.

The end result of this process is a huge army of amateurs attempting to replicate what their teacher does in the same industry - the Internet marketing industry - not realizing that without expert status based on a proven record and all the perks that come with it, it's next to impossible to succeed.

Even people, who enjoy marginal success, say for example growing an email list of 1,000 people, then go out and launch a product about how to grow an email list of 1,000 people. Now I have no problems with that, I think it's fine to teach beginners and leverage whatever achievements you have, the problem is that people gravitate to the same niche - Internet marketing - and rarely have any key points of differentiation.

How many products out there do you know of that all claim to teach the same things - email marketing, SEO, pay per click, affiliate marketing, and all the sub-niches that fall under the category of Internet marketing. It's a saturated market, yet when you see your teachers and other gurus making money teaching others how to make money (and let's face it - making money as a subject is one of the most compelling) - your natural inclination is to follow in their footsteps.

If the key is to become an expert and you haven't spent the last 5-10 years making money online, I suggest you look for another niche to establish expertise in.

Report on Your Process, Not Others

The secret to progress from reporter to expert is not to focus on other experts and instead report on your own journey. When you are learning how to do something and implementing things day by day, or studying other people's work, you need to take your process and what you do as a result of what you learn, and use it as content for your blog.

It's okay to talk about experts when you learn something from them, but always relate it to what you are doing. If you learn a technique from an expert it's fine to state you learned it from them (and affiliate link to their product too!) but you should then take that technique, apply it to what you are doing and then report back YOUR results, not there's. Frame things using your opinion - your stories - and don't regurgitate what the expert said. The key is differentiation and personality, not replication.

Expertise comes from doing things most people don't do and then talking about it. If you do this often enough you wake up one day as an expert, possibly without even realizing how it happened, simply because you were so good at reporting what you did.

You Are Already An Expert

Most people fail to become experts (or perceived as experts) because they don't leverage what they already know. Every person who lives a life learns things as they go, takes action every day and knows something about something. The reason why they never become an expert is because they choose not to (which is fine for some, not everyone wants to be an expert), but if your goal is to blog your way to expertise and leave the world of reporting behind you have to start teaching and doing so by leveraging real experience.

Experience can come from what you do today and what you have done previously; you just need to take enough steps to demonstrate what you already know and what you are presently learning along your journey. I know so many people in my life, who are experts simply by virtue of the life they have lived, yet they are so insecure about what they know, they never commit their knowledge to words for fear ofwell fear.

Blogs and the Web in general, are amazing resources when you leverage them as a communication tool to spread your expertise because of the sheer scope of people they can reach. If all you ever do is talk to people in person and share your experience using limited communication mediums, you haven't much hope of becoming an expert. Take what you know and show other people through blogging, and you might be surprised how people change their perception of you in time.

Reporting Is A Stepping Stone

If your previous experience and expertise is from an area you want to leave behind or you are starting from scratch, then reporting is the path you must walk, at least for the short term.

Reporting is a lot of fun. Interviewing experts, talking about what other people are doing and just being part of a community is not a bad way to blog. In many cases people make a career of reporting (journalism is about just that), but if you truly want success and exponential results, at some point you will have to stand up and proclaim yourself as someone unusually good at something and then proceed to demonstrate it over and over again.

Have patience and focus on what you do to learn and then translate that experience into lessons for others, and remember, it's okay to be a big fish in a small pond, that's all most experts really are.

Why you should choose working at home business opportunities offered by MLM?

MLM is a powerful business concept for many reasons but the most obvious is for the type of income it can provide the network marketer. It is so powerful that many fortune 500 companies have used, some are still using, this business model to build their multi-million dollar empire.

So why cannot the average person do the same?

The answer is average people are already working some great MLM home-based businesses opportunities. Are you one of them? If not, now is an excellent time to get started.

Millionaires have taken notice of MLM as a home-based business opportunity that average people can work into and build wealth.

MLM is a huge, thriving industry in spite of all the negative publicity it receives in the media from anti-MLM enthusiasts. Many millionaires express how MLM is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in building a home-based business without having to work from scratch.

Can you use some extra income?

Most consumers would probably answer yes to this question. Everybody can use extra income every month. But where is this extra income going to come from?

One obvious solution would be is to get a second job. This option may seem to be the best solution but is really not. This is because the time you spend on your second job and the money you receive after taxes is not enough.

Of course you will have to consider your reasons for getting a second job and why you need the extra income to determine if getting a second job is really the right solution for you.

However, on the other hand, you can start working on your own part-time home-based business using MLM as your business opportunity. You can get started in the industry for nearly nothing. This is a big plus.

How can you start working in an MLM home business opportunity you have heard so much about?

Getting started in network marketing has become so easy that anyone can get started even if you do not have a dime to invest in your start up. The key here is to simply get started then never quit.

Many legitimate MLM home business opportunities will allow you to get started for under $100. You can even find free opportunities with little or no overhead expenses and with great support from other members as well as the parent company.

These companies will provide all the tools and system for you. You simply add your sweat equity, your working commitment, and persistence to the MLM home business opportunity.

Remember to choose a well-established company that offers quality consumable products or services with an excellent management team and support to their distributors.

Another important key factor is your commitment to the company and its products and services. Working for a home business MLM opportunity means that you should be a bona-fide user and marketer of the products and services you want to earn extra income from.

In conclusion, MLM is a smart business opportunity sense for anyone wishing to start working at home. It cost next to nothing to get started, you get a proven system like you would if you bought a franchise opportunity, and you can be in profit in months rather than in years.

Therefore, if you desire more income while still working a 9 to 5 job, or to build your retirement income, then you should seriously consider working for a home business MLM opportunity.

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn't news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that's the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you've done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people's blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else's blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at blogcarnival.com.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn't bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I've listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won't stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

I hope you enjoyed my list of traffic tips. Everything listed above are techniques I've put into place myself for my blogs and have worked for me, however it's certainly not a comprehensive list. There are many more things you can do. Finding readers is all about testing to see what works best for you and your audience and I have no doubt if you put your mind to it you will find a balance that works for you.
